The 5K road race is held the morning of the church bazaar. It attracts approximately 125 runners and nets upwards of $2,000 for the bazaar-sponsored charities. The course, USATK certified, is part of the Tour de Columbia circuit of races and the Autumn Triple Crown. The race typically involves 15-20 church members in various volunteer roles including race director, finish line, course monitors and fund raisers. Church members and the community also support the race through sponsorships including financial and prize awards.
The race also includes the Bird Walk - an assortment of kiddie runs which generally attract 30-40 children ranging from 2 years to pre-teen. The Bird Walk is named in memory of Scott "Bird" Nyland, the son of church member Jim Nyland, who leads the kiddie races.
