Peacemaking Offering - World Communion Sunday, October 5th YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Did you know Presbyterians as a denomination, give significant financial support to missions here in the U.S. and in countries all over the world? These efforts have served countless people from survivors of Katrina to those who struggled through the great tsunami in Southeast Asia a few years ago. You are a vital part of this service in Christ's name. As we celebrate World Communion Sunday on October 5th, our congregation will have the opportunity to send Christ's love and support into some of the neediest places on earth. Please prayerfully consider what your contribution will be to the annual Peacemaking Offering, which will be received that morning. Look for the special envelope included in your bulletin that day, or just write "Peacemaking" on your check. Even if you will be in Montreat that weekend for our church family retreat, you can contribute, either before or after that weekend. Please make sure your donation is marked for the "Peacemaking Offering". While some of our received funds will go throughout the U.S. and around the world, 25% of them will be used here in Columbia for one of our worthwhile partners in service to Christ.
