Senior Resources, Inc., a private non-profit organization, serves Richland County.  Our church has partnered with them to have our members deliver meals weekly.
  • We currently have committed to every Thursday.  We are asking members to serve in teams of 2 for a period of approximately 2 hours.
  • Please review the information to the left for forms that must be completed, the handbook for your information, etc.
  • Once you have completed the forms, sign up is being handled online.

Just a few pieces of info on the local Meals on Wheels program:

  • Meals on Wheels delivers over 100,000 meals per year in Richland County.  It takes 400 volunteers weekly to provide service…need for additional meals and volunteers grows daily.
  • Each recipient receives a hot meal Monday-Friday.  All have been interviewed by Meals on Wheels for eligibility before delivery can begin.
  • Often the volunteer is the only person that client has contact with that day.  The volunteer is not expected to sit down and talk, but just to greet client, share niceties and then move on.
