  • Faith Formation: Compass Groups 04/21/24

Transforming faith through common ground in small groups. Everyone meets in Potts Hall for a dose of energy & quick message, then breaks out into small groups, your Compass group!

Everyone belongs to a “compass group.” Our compass groups bring individuals from similar backgrounds or groups together in conversation, study, and diving deeper into what faith means to them. These Sundays are meant for those who wish to find a deeper connection among their church peers through discussion and common ground. Groups can share lessons, ideas, and understandings of the bible, current events, or common interests which connect them to their faith and relationship with God. We use “Compass” to name these groups because a compass is used to help navigate; like a compass, we hope these groups serve as a tool to help navigate your faith journey!

Our children & youth will be assigned to a “Compass Group” based on their school grade levels. The confirmation students (8th graders) will follow a set schedule of meetings during the Faith Formation hour each Sunday. Please contact Lisa McDowell for more information about our Confirmation program.

Our young adults & adults have compass groups based on common interests & topics and led by anyone who is interested! Our goal is that each person in our congregation finds a group of people that sparks comfort and joy in their discussions on faith.

  • Founders' Day & Youth Sunday: 05/05/24
