Stewardship 2024

Dear Members and Friends of SVPC,

As we enter a new year we have many reasons to give thanks to God for our Church. Our life as a church creates a beautiful picture. Our youth ministry is vibrant; our Christian Education ministry is creatively engaging our children and youth in new approaches. Missions and Outreach continues to encourage us to reach out with compassion and care. Congregation ministry has found creative new ways to deepen our fellowship and friendship. We have completed our last debt-elimination campaign, and look forward to being debt-free by Founders Day, 2027. Our Building and Grounds committee continues to make improvements and maintains our Church home. We are blessed with committed and caring staff members who diligently serve us.

Thank you for your continued financial support of our shared life in our wonderful church. As we prayerfully think about our financial pledge for our annual 2024 budget, our commitment continues to further our shared life and ministries.

Let us also recommit to our shared life in this new year. Invite friends to worship or activities. Volunteer to serve on a committee. Be active in worship or Faith Formation on Sunday mornings. Don’t wait to be asked, but step forward and be a part of something new. There are many ways to be involved. The life we share is in our hands. Christ has given us these times and seasons to be active and engaged in the life of his Church. Our Church is a sacred trust from Christ. Our stewardship of the gifts he has given us reflects our commitment. How can you be a part of the larger picture, tapestry, and mosaic which is our Church?

Let us give thanks to God and our Lord Jesus Christ in our shared life in this great Church. As we move closer to our 50th anniversary in 2027 let us make 2024 a great year together. Let us all make a pledge to support the Church.

In this packet you will find a stewardship brochure picturing the life and ministries we share and a pledge card. You can pledge online at www.svpc.org/giving, or return a pledge card by mail in the enclosed envelope or during the worship services. We want to complete our stewardship season by November 19th, the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
